The requirements of holding a CNS include earning a Master of Science in Nutrition and it is credentialed by the American Nutrition Association® upon completion of 1,000+ hours of supervised clinical practice and passing a rigorous certification exam. The CNS® credential must be recertified every five years, including obtaining 75 Continuing Education (CE) credits.

I work with clients suffering from all kinds of conditions. Some of these include digestive health, hormonal imbalance, thyroid dysfunction, asthma, mental health, brain health, weight management, bone health, autoimmune conditions, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, skin conditions, fatigue, and more.

I focus on improving digestive health, but my work doesn’t stop there. Because gut health affects every system in the whole body, improving my client’s digestive health empowers me to help people with a wide range of issues.

Before committing to a nutrition program, you and I have the opportunity to talk on the phone so that you feel comfortable with me, my approach, and can ask questions. I offer a 15-minute free discovery call to discuss your health concerns and determine how we would work together to achieve your goals.

During our initial consultation, we will dive deep into your story, do a full assessment of your health and nutrition status, review your lifestyle, family history, lab work (if any) and food diary to better understand the full picture and the root cause of your symptoms and concerns. We will discuss your health goals and determine your next steps based on your unique needs.

During the first follow-up session, which is usually scheduled 2 weeks later, we will map out your personalized action plan. This includes diet, labs, supplements, and lifestyle recommendations. We’ll further discuss follow-up sessions to support your plan, provide guidance and accountability, and work towards lasting, life-transforming changes.

Results are achieved with ongoing commitment and support. We don’t get sick overnight; therefore, it is unlikely that we will feel better overnight. Taking small steps in the right direction can bring incredible long-lasting results over time. I’ll meet you where you are and we’ll work together at a pace that feels right for you.

Digestive health is the foundation for your overall health and wellness. When our gut health is suffering, we often experience a ripple effect of imbalances in other parts of our body.

The microbiome – the community of 100 trillion organisms living in our gut – is involved in most processes in our body. This includes regulating inflammation, gene expression, and capturing the most nutrition from the foods that you eat.

The health of our digestive system is also critical to having the most robust immune system. Did you know that up to 75 percent of our immune system is in our gut? If our digestive health is off balance, we are less able to fight off infection and illness.

In addition, our gut produces important neurotransmitters that regulate anxiety and mood, such as the one you may be familiar with called serotonin.
